A Feat Incomplete

Using a multie disciplined devising practice David Buckley and I dug down into the fertile ground of why we tell stories to create A Feat Incomplete. Its dual voices are crafted from attempts to record ourselves in time and space our aim; to say with total clarity ‘I am here.’ This compulsion to create a true and resonate story is a beautiful human thing to do. Story is vital, relevant and powerful. Its promise of authority is comforting, but ultimately flawed. If you really want to know where you are pay attention to the things that matter to you and be present with them, sans any attempt to make meaning. Sit in rooms with people, drink warm things and listen to each other. An open sharing of yourself will reveal your true orientation in the world, you will be ‘here’ in the now, holding in your heart the recognition that another is there too.

Developed as Part of ArtsLab 11 with Shop front Contemporary arts and Performance A Feat Incomplete Perfored as part of teh final season of work Slow Reveal in November 2011.
